Swap-online.com has been created to be an online community of people who embrace the idea of Trade & Barter. The concept is quite simple…everyone has stuff that they no longer need or want and other people want that stuff and are willing to barter & trade for it.

History

The CEO of Swap-online.com, Phil Swanson is an entrepreneur. He has started up businesses in many industries throughout his career, but the idea behind this one is quite different than anything he has started before. The concept came out of something that he did all the time without realizing the impact it had on the community. Phil likes to collect stuff (some might say he’s a pack rat) and hated to get rid of anything because “someone might need it someday”. People in town would often drop by for a coffee and a conversation would often lead to something they were looking for or were trying to get rid of. Sometimes a trade was made and other times Phil would connect people together to barter and trade their stuff.

This type of activity is certainly not limited to small rural communities, it happens everyday and everywhere. The potential is limitless…maybe you need your bathroom sink changed and in exchange you trade some canned preserves. Or you need a reliable car to get to that new job and it is time to give up your motor cycle. The whole idea is to keep the cash in your pocket and get what you want by recycling the stuff in your home, garage and cottage. You may also want to use your trade skills for other trades or items that you might want.
